I had crabs, but now I'm ok

Another beautiful, sunny day in Sactown...cold, but pretty. I'm glad my Oregon peeps are finally defrosting.

Thursday night my teammate Kevin asked me if I wanted to go out for a drink. It ended up being the four over-21ers in the team going to the Ameri-bar down the street. It was a good chance to unwind and vocalize our frustrations over some of our teammates. I feel a lot better about the nine months I'll be spending with my team, G7. Oh, before I forget, want to send me some cool junk? Here is where you can send it...

Saturday I went on my first independent service project, or ISP. In order to graduate from the program, we need to complete 80 hours of service on our own. So with about 60 other NCCC people I went to a huge crab feed for Project Ride. Project Ride is a horse ranch/school that works with kids with disabilities. I helped get the food out to the servers and also, at the end, had some very tasty crab. I stayed busy, so the time went by quickly, and plus, I have a little over 7 of my 80 hours done already.

My computer battery is about to die, so I'm gonna sign off now. Hope all is better than ok with you. Peace
