Ever since The Momma got a tattoo on her 40th birthday, I've wanted a tattoo. I could never make up my mind about what I wanted or where. Well, today was the day. I have wanted this tattoo for several months and knew that I wanted it on my foot. So, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Jenna's first tattoo. It is the American Sign Language sign for "I Love You." Both of my great-grandparents were deaf, so my grandma grew up signing. The Momma knows a bit of sign language and I barely know any. But the first sign I can remember knowing was this one. It has special meaning for me in that I see it tying Grammy, The Momma and I together with love. Sappy, yes. I love it and am very happy with how it looks. I didn't even cry when it was being done. It hurt, of course, but nothing I couldn't handle. Jenny, the girl who recommended the place and artist to me, went with me and got some pictures and video of it being done. I haven't seen them yet, but I am sure I look quite silly.
I've got to go get ready for some meetings tonight, so this will have to be it for now. Until later, my friends...
