an open apology

Dear Boston,
For the first time since I arrived here, I saw leaves on trees. They were just budding, but it was so nice to see some green. One thing though... I am apparently allergic to your spring season. I have never had major allergy problems before, but on Saturday morning I woke up and couldn't stop coughing. Not cool, Boston, not cool.

Now I owe you an apology. Boston, I am sorry for all the moaning, groaning and complaining I did about your winter weather. As you know, it got up to 93 degrees here today. I know that that kind of weather is expected, but not until mid-summer. In case you forgot, IT IS STILL APRIL! How about a little more April showers and less April give-jenna-a-frickin'-sunburn. And my bedroom? Yeah, pretty much a greenhouse. So much for me falling asleep tonight.

So, to reiterate, I am sorry for the past four and a half months of my whining about how damn cold it is here and how much I hate snow. I had no idea about how silly I sounded. If you promise not to do another 90+ degree day for another month or so, I promise to not complain about your winters anymore. I hope we can repair this friendship and live peacefully within each other once again.

Love,
jenna
