It's getting hot in hurrre

...but I will not be taking off all my clothes. That would be a uniform violation.

It has been a month since my last post (does this sound like a confession?). Some highlights since June 10 (if I can remember them...)

~I went home the first weekend of June to see my great friend Nicole get married to the love of her life, Charlie. On this trip I was able to get a taste for the real world again and to be with people who are not in AmeriCorps. It was so nice to mingle with old friends that I have done a sucky job keeping in touch with and to see Nin so happy. Congrats to the Randalls!

~A distant cousin on the Kangiser side made contact with me through facebook and now I am getting to know a whole new side of my family and myself. I have a great story about my Great Grandfather Kon Kangiser, but I will save that for another time.

~The Summer of Service program began. It is like a summer camp with service thrown in for 14-17 year olds. The Team Leaders and Corps Members who are leading the teams are crazy busy. I help where I'm needed and have fun with the Crews.

~One more month of AmeriCorps and I'm done. I'll be back in Oregon on August 8. I really don't know what I am going to do next. It kinda scares me, but I've been in this position before and I have always found something, so I'm not too overly stressed like some of my fellow TLs.

I think those are all the highlights. It's hotter than Satan's You-Know-Whats down here. Yesterday it was 110 degrees and today it is supposed to get to 108 degrees. That on top of smoke blowing this way from forest fires up north make for pretty miserable conditions here in Sac. My room in the dorms is chilly, so things even out as long as I don't have to go outside.

So, back to the life after AmeriCorps plans. What do you think I should do? What would be the perfect job/career, location, living situation for me. What I am asking is for you to plan my life. I'll take any and all input. No suggestion is too dumb. Would I be a great circus performer? do you have connections? Can I live with you? Feedback!
