jenna k: kickin' it since 1983

Hi everyone! I'm finished with my list! Now you know 100 things about me. Pretty exciting, no?

Back to real life, though, lots of things have happened in the past month or so. Let's get updated, shall we?

The Momma came for a visit to Sacramento on May 18. We went to Reno for a few days and I showed her around Old Sac. It was so great to have her visit and to show off what I've been working on and working toward for the past year and a half. I introduced her to some of the staff memebers while I was showing her the Admin building and my office. Everyone was very happy to meet The Momma and one of my coworker even said that The Momma was really beautiful. I agree!

The next weekend was Memorial Day Weekend and I just hung out around campus and Sac. The next weekend, however, Kyla came to visit! Nobody had come to visit all year and now I get two visitors in one month! Kyla came on a Friday night and Saturday we went to San Francisco and did the touristy thing at Fisherman's Wharf. It was so great spending time with her, especially since it was the first time in forever that we were just together to hang out, neither one of us just passing through town or only being able to see each other for a couple hours. Yay, friends for life!

Speaking of friends for life, last weekend I went home to attend the wedding of my good friend Nicole. I've known Nicole since middle school and went to high school and two years of college with her. She is another one of those friends for life people that I will always love and cherish. She married her love and it was really touching and beautiful. I saw Kyla again along with her husband Jon and her brother Brandon. There were also people there that are very dear to me that I got to see and it was so nice to actually feel like I was home for a while. It made me excited and less scared for my life after August 8. After hearing what everyone was doing with their lives, it made me realize how grown-up they all are, and how I may be ready to become a grown-up myself. Baby steps, jenna...baby steps.

I'm back in AmeriWorld now. It is transition week, so I have one team on campus that is getting ready to go to their next and final project in South Dakota. Next week the Summer of Service training for the Crew Leaders will start and I am sure I will be helping with that in some way, shape or form. I need to get ready for a staff/TL check-in, so I'll end this update. Take care, y'all!
