I just found out where we will be stopping on our way to LA. Our first night will be in Palm Springs, CA, and then it's Tuscon, Ft. Stockton and Houston. I'm pretty excited to be going through these states that I've never been to, even tho people are saying that there isn't going to be much to see on the way. We will be stopping at Joshua Tree National Park on Tuesday, so that's something.
Ok, I'm a little nervous about the heat and humidity that I will be encountering for the first time ever. Does anyone have any hints, tips, suggestions on how to survive? Also, I'll be about a half hour away from New Orleans. Any suggestions on what to do? I want to see Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, but is there anything else I should seek out? I'm getting more and more excited to have this new experience. What if I fall in love with the south and move there forever?! Wouldn't that be crazy? It could happen, tho. Ya'll will have to come visit and laugh at my acquired southern accent.
Meh, I'm just rambling now. I should try to sleep...but we know that won't happen right now. G'nite!
