this year's birthday resolutions

Last year I decide to do away with new year's resolutions and begin my own birthday resolutions. I feel that birthdays are more of an end to one year and a beginning of another one than new year's day, so I like the idea of starting a new year of life with fresh resolutions. Last year I made the eight resolutions below (in red). How I did, or how I think I did, is in blue:

I, jenna k, in my 26th year of life, will work to improve and better myself in the following ways:
1. Start every day with a positive attitude Did not happen every day, but I tried most of the time
2. Maintain a high level of professionalism at work Umm... I could have done better
3. End my VISTA year with a plan of what to do next with my life Nope. I came back to Oregon with some ideas, but no plan
4. Drink more water I did better on this one
5. Read the books I have before purchasing any more Nope, I bought more books without reading the ones I already had.
6. Finally publish pictures of my life in Boston Yeah! I did this!
7. Write more I don't remember what I meant by writing more, but I did write on this blog a little more frequently
8. Maintain and cultivate my relationships with the people who matter in my life I did OK with this, but it can always be improved

So now it is time for this year's birthday resolutions. Like new year's resolutions, but better because they revolve around my birthday :)

I, jenna k, in my 27th year of life, will work to improve and better myself in the following ways:
1. Begin the process of applying for graduate school to become a school counselor
2. Study and get a high score on the GRE
3.  Be accepted into a graduate program
4. Cook more and learn to cook more things
5. Take trips to visit family
6. Floss every day
7. Listen to all of the music on my Ipod
8. Maintain a PFA (positive freakin' attitude) in my day-to-day life

Wish me luck this year!
