I apologize for this being late. I'm not sure who I am apologizing to for not doing a blog that I don't know if anybody reads (other than the few faithful) but I'm sorry anyway. I have no excuse...I just didn't do one on Friday.
Anywhoozle, today I will share my favorite Christmas movies. Nothing is terribly shocking about my picks since they are all classics and loved by many, many people. You probably have seen these movies tons of times, so I won't explain what they are about. I will, however, share my favorite quote from the movie (or at least just one of them). Here we go...
Love Actually
Karen: So what's this big news, then?
Daisy: We've been given our parts in the nativity play. And I'm the lobster.
Karen: The lobster?
Daisy: Yeah!
Karen: In the nativity play?
Daisy: Yeah, *first* lobster.
Karen: There was more than one lobster present at the birth of Jesus?
Daisy: Duh.
Elf
"Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?"
A Christmas Story
Mr. Parker: Fra-gee-lay. That must be Italian.
Mrs. Parker: Uh, I think that says FRAGILE, dear.
Mr. Parker: Oh, yeah.
White Christmas
Bob Wallace: When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Linus: I never thought it was such a bad little tree. It's not bad at all, really. Maybe it just needs a little love.
Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Narrator: He puzzled and puzzled till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before! Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas... perhaps... means a little bit more!
And lastly, from the funniest Saturday Night Live sketch ever...
Pete Schweddy (Alec Baldwin): They're made from a secret Schweddy Family recipe. No one can resist my Schweddy Balls.
