The Oregon Ducks football team is now ranked number 2 in the nation. College football is the only sport that I will actually sit down and watch, so I am super pumped that my guys are doing such a remarkable job this season. Oregon State is going to get destroyed Dec. 1!
Anyway, how are ya'll doing? CTI will be done in one week and the teams leave for their projects on Nov. 26. This training period has gone by pretty quickly, and I will be sad to see the teams and my friends go. It will be a long time before I see some of the other TLs again. Some will stay in the region, but half of them are traveling to the Gulf. Five teams will be staying in the Sacramento area and will remain on campus, so them plus the other 7 STLs will keep me company. When the teams go on projects is when my real work starts, so I have been told to enjoy the downtime in the office that I have now.
Thursday I will be traveling back to Camp Mendocino for three days with the Silver Unit. This is a time for team building, training and doing some work for the camp. I am very very excited to get out into the Redwoods again and enjoy the fresh air and freedom from a training classroom. It will be absolutely freezing, but I get to stay in the staff quarters, which means a fully enclosed, heated room with my own bathroom/shower and a bed. Yeah, life's pretty sweet for an STL.
I'm sorry that I don't update this more often. I sometimes just plain forget. As always, I'll try to do better. I think once the teams leave for their projects I will go a whole week documenting what it is that I actually do in a week. That seems like a good idea, right?
Anyway, hope everyone is safe and happy. I know I am! Love and Miss
